Design thinking for librarians

The methodology was developed by the Public Library of Chicago (USA) and the Public Libraries of Aarhus (Denmark) with the support of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in 2013-2014. Before that, there was a research conducted in 40 libraries in 10 countries.

The methodology shows how libraries should work together to discover what communities want and how they can experiment to create services, programs, and processes to implement those changes.

The Handbook of Design Thinking for Librarians has been translated into 16 languages.
