A technical laboratory has been opened in the Central District Library named after M. Bogdanovich in Molodechno (Belarus), which is designed to develop schoolchildren’s creative skills.
The organizers of the laboratory point out this idea arose after discussions with parents and children aged 12-15.
“The most creative audience is teenagers. It is this part of readers that we want to bring to the library and create the place where they would like to come, where they could get a free hand and complete understanding. We are ready to create opportunities for those who like to work both in a team and individually”, says Tatiana Letunova, one of the organizers of the laboratory.
The prototype of the service was created by the library team. During the testing stage we adjusted a project a bit. For example, we decided to change the time of the meetings and adjusted the age of the target audience.
“We decided to hold meetings on Fridays at 4:30 pm and have a slightly limited version of the classes, since the pandemic continues and we can’t have more than 6 people in one room. But we hope that in the future everything will fall into place”, explains Tetyana Letunova.
The service has been operating since the fall of 2020.
